About us

The best person for your role may have already applied. Nobody ever found out.

We founded Surikado to stop that from happening.

Fifty CVs come in for a single role. You open thirty, the rest stay in a folder, and you never find out whether the best one was among them.

It is not laziness on anyone's part, it is maths. If you give every CV two minutes, fifty CVs take almost two hours, and you have not called a single person yet. Neither the business owner nor the HR manager has those hours.

So it gets done the only way it can. The first few are read, the rest are put aside for later, and later never comes.

Both sides pay for it. The company has no idea who it lost, and the person who applied never finds out why nobody got back to them.

A person always decides

Surikado reads the candidates and ranks them, and for each one it sets out the reasons for and against. Who you invite to an interview is your decision.

We rule nobody out

Everyone who applies stays in one pile. They are just put in order. Nobody disappears because they missed a keyword.

Reading CVs is not HR work

It is the tax you pay to get anywhere near the real HR work. We want to abolish the tax, not the work.

Everyone gets an answer

Including the ones you are not hiring. With two hundred CVs there is never time for that, so we do it.

A chance without prejudice

What is assessed is what a person can do and whether it fits the role. Not how neatly their CV is written.

Surikado was founded by two Slovaks with Australia in common. Both worked there for years for international companies.

As co-founder and chief executive of butteland, he delivered software testing and technology projects from Australia for banks, insurers and online stores, and later ran the company from Bratislava as Managing Partner. After that he spent a year as head of artificial intelligence at InoCloud. In August 2025 he founded Surikado.

Reading 200 CVs is not HR work. It is the tax you pay to get to the real HR work.
